  Neighbours' Evening 2008
The diabolical 'Summer' weather relented for long enough to make the 2008 Neighbours' Evening a success — so much so that nobody seems to have kept a record of what was going on. Seven aircraft were kept busy until dusk giving joy-rides to local residents and every scrap of food from the BBQ was consumed. An achievement of sorts! The BBQ chef (Nic Harper) arrived and departed by aeroplane....and most of the 'county set' garden parties can't claim that.
  Neighbours' Evening 2007
The annual get-together with our neighbours was blessed with fine weather on 1 August, with several dozen local inhabitants turning up for the barbeque and to see what flying is all about. This early picture shows the BBQ being brought up to temperature and Roger Busrrows taxying out in his Jodel with one of the first passengers of the evening
  Neighbours' Evening 2007
Big, innit? Larger than the average resident aircraft, a Stearman is the centre of attraction for a group of neighbours
  Too many cooks?
Trevor Villa and Nic Harper were the celebrity chefs for the evening and made an excellent job of feeding our guests
  Was that good, or what?
'Trial flights' are an important part of relating to the local community—especially so when a new generation is being enthused with the joys of flying. Larry D'Eath returns with the latest young aviator
  Neighbours' Evening 2007
A general view of proceedings. Nigel Bilton's Cessna can just be seen over the farmhouse, flying a further group of neighbours
